ஔவையார் நூல்கள்: 1. ஆத்திசூடி கடவுள் வாழ்த்து Invocation of  blessings of God who wears Aththi flowers

ஆத்தி சூடி அமர்ந்த தேவனை
ஏத்தி ஏத்தித் தொழுவோம் யாமே

Let us praise and worship the God wearing Āththi flowers.

1. அறம் செய விரும்பு. Incline to do good works.

When you find yourself with time to spare,

And you're wondering how to spend it there,

Look around you, and you'll surely see

Opportunities for good deeds to be.

Lend a hand to someone in need,

Or plant a seed for someone to feed,

Your kindness can make a difference today,

And change someone's life in a positive way.

2. 2. ஆறுவது சினம். Mitigate Anger.

When anger flares and tempers rise,

Take a deep breath, and close your eyes,

Count to ten and calm your mind,

Before you speak, be sure to find

The words that will defuse the heat,

And help you move on from this feat,

Anger can burn bridges and destroy trust,

So take a moment to cool down and adjus

3. இயல்வது கரவேல். Conceal not what is possible.

If you have a skill or talent to share,

Don't keep it hidden, let it flare,

Your knowledge can help others too,

And make the world a better place for me and you.

Teach someone what you know,

And watch them grow and glow,

There's no need to hold back,

Let your light shine and attack.

4. ஈவது விலக்கேல். Do not prevent giving.

When someone wants to give to others,

Don't stand in their way, be a helper,

Charity is a virtue that we should uphold,

And it brings joy to the young and the old.

Encourage others to lend a hand,

And spread love across the land,

We all have something to give,

And when we do, it's a way to live.

Don't be a barrier to kindness and care,

Let others be charitable and share,

For giving is a blessing that we all receive,

And it's a powerful way to believe.

5. உடையது விளம்பேல். Do not reveal what you have.

Keep your possessions close to your chest,

Don't flaunt them, or you'll be stressed,

Your wealth can attract envy and greed,

So keep your valuables hidden, indeed.

You don't need to brag or boast,

Your actions will speak for you the most,

Be humble and kind, and do good,

And your reputation will surely be understood.

6.  ஊக்கமது கைவிடேல். Do not give up your zeal.

When the going gets tough,

And the road ahead seems rough,

Don't give up on your dreams,

Or give in to life's schemes.

Keep your passion burning bright,

And strive to reach new heights,

With hard work and determination,

You can overcome any situation.

7. எண் எழுத்து இகழேல். Do not neglect math. and letters.

Knowledge is power, and it's true,

Education can open doors for you,

Don't neglect the basics, math, and letters,

For they'll be the foundation for all that matters.

Read and learn every day,

And study in your own unique way,

For knowledge can take you far,

And you'll be better off for it, by far.

8. ஏற்பது இகழ்ச்சி. To receive alms is contemptible.

Begging is not a sign of strength,

And it's not a sustainable length,

It's okay to ask for help now and then,

But begging is not the answer, my friend.

Work hard, and earn what you need,

And you'll be rewarded with success, indeed,

Pride comes from honest labor,

And you'll be respected by your neighbor.

9. ஐயம் இட்டு உண். Give alms before eating.

When you're blessed with plenty to eat,

And you sit down to enjoy a treat,

Remember those who are not so lucky,

And give alms to those who are hungry.

It's not just a matter of charity,

But a moral obligation of society,

To help those who are less fortunate,

And show compassion and care, mate.

10. ஒப்புரவு ஒழுகு  Behave with accommodation.

In all your dealings with others,

Remember to treat them like brothers,

Behave with kindness and accommodation,

And you'll create a lasting, meaningful relation.

Listen to what they have to say,

And respect them in every way,

Be patient and understanding,

And you'll be
