1. A forest was the habitat of two lions with two lion cubs. The male lion went on a hunt, brought meat to the lioness, which fed the two lion cubs and raised them love and kindness.

2. As the life of the lion family went on like this for a while, one day, the lion carrying a living fox cub by its nape gave it to the lioness to feed it to the lion cubs. Because the fox cub looked beautiful, the lioness did not have the heart to kill it but raised the fox cub along with its cubs.

3. The lion cubs and the fox cub were mature enough to hunt for themselves and enter the forest away from their lair.

4. An elephant came across their path. The fox ran away, afraid of the elephant. The lion cubs looking at the turncoat fox spoke ill of the fox cub, saying, "Is it proper to run away like that?"

5. The fox: "I did not run out of fear. Why should I be afraid?"
6. A dispute ensued between the lion cubs and the fox cub. They disputed until they came home.
7. The lioness paid attention to the dispute and took the fox cub away to a private area.

8. The lioness said to the fox cub, "You argue as if you are a lion cub. But you are not. You are a fox cub. I raised you along with my cubs. My cubs think you are a lion cub. Before they discover you are a fox cub, run away from here." The fox cub ran away from the lion's family.
